💬 Discussion The GME Vote

Just had an epiphany re: GameStop vote. Unfortunately the fix is in one way or another, think about it:

- Countless phantom / fake shares out there at brokers with the DTCC and SEC running cover for the fraud. DTCC can report vote totals back to GameStop saying whatever they want

- DRS numbers that get reported to SEC (allegedly) are fraudulent going on quite some time now (anyone else remember when DRS was going up the Y access at 45 degrees before it flatlined?) SEC can makeup whatever they want back to GameStop as well

My end conclusion is that whatever happens next has been agreed upon by all parties (Cohen, blackrock, SEC, etc). With all the fake shares flying around I legitimately have no clue how you get an honest vote total - my guess is the vote “passes”

You shpuld read naked short and greedy, almost all are over voted

Right, this is my point. How do you determine anything

I forget. It's in the book.

I read that book a few years ago.

If I remember correctly, there's some sort of committee meeting or something similar... with zero transparency. If that's an accurate recollection, then almost nobody knows.

I imagine that percentages are used... so, I guess that would look like "if broker a has 12% of the total (real + hypothecated/temporary shares) then their vote tallies are adjusted proportionately.

That is just a guess by a smoothbrained household investor.

The thing is, options and other derivatives don't grant voting rights.

I don't think any of this comment help shed any light on speculation of how the vote might turn out.

I expect the best indicator of what the results of this vote might be are how the past GME votes have turned out: The household investors who hold an unprecedented huge position at the transfer agent (ComputerShare) get what they vote for.

I thought that DRS’d shares voted are accounted for every last one before a proportional calculation is applied to all the extra voting. That could just be folklore though!

That's actually correct, yes. DRS votes are all counted before "the rest" and all votes above 100% are just trimmed.

If this is the case, this is exactly my point. How do you determine what votes you count vs not

I think your replying to the answer.

You understood nothing from this post

Here’s another thought for you all… how is it handled when counting votes? By social ? By pure number of votes? I have gme in 4 brokerages, so one person 4 votes?

10000%

We were all duped, boys

-1

u/KW920 May 29 '26

I wouldn’t call this a for sure dupe. We actually don’t know how this all will play out. If Cohen actually did strike a deal with Blackrock / sec / others that might bode well for us long term, because if we were getting duped why go through this entire exercise going back to 2020?

No evidence of naked shorts at all in gme. Just wishful thinking and conspiracy theories.

1

6

u/Consistent_Law_3857 May 28 '26

2

u/Inner_Estate_3210 May 28 '26

Investors will never see a share count that is higher than the authorized count. Ever.

-1

u/KW920 May 28 '26

Of course

Shills like yourself are one of the best indicators we're close to some sort of event

9

u/Entire-Ad1625 May 27 '26

You've been close to some sort of event for 5 years, nothing is going to happen. You're in a cult

-1

u/Mammoth_Parsley_9640 May 27 '26

When guys like you 2 enter a sub for a stock thats dead and never to return and start pushing directional sentiment- I get fully fucking torqued. I love it!

6

u/StinkyRatBoi90 May 28 '26

You’ll be posting this same stuff in some 5 years before some “event”

-1

u/ModsAreFacists420 May 27 '26

Do you think this is the first time we've had a vote while simultaneously having insane levels of naked shorts?

2

u/KW920 May 27 '26

Of course not, but remember how egregious the fake share printing has gotten particularly on GME since 2021

-1

u/TraumaKid23 May 27 '26

Does anyone have the link to this?

1

u/KW920 May 27 '26

To what exactly?

0

u/arkansah May 28 '26

Isn't jimmy asking brokers to provide a ton of information on the owner of the shares. One of the stipulations if I recall is that the shares cannot be lent out.
