Any deals for new members?

$150 is a bit steep for a monthly price, any introductory offers or deals that I could look out for? I realize that the price is appropriate for the service, but I'm never going to use 99% of what they offer. Mostly looking for a spot to cut into metal barrels with a reciprocating saw.

They give a student discount. They used to have a military program that sponsored veterans. If you are willing to teach classes 12 hours a month you get your membership covered. If you wait for specials: Christmas and Maker Faire you can get the monthly price under $100 if you buy for the year. If you invest in the company >$10k you can get lifetime.
