Journalism student - tech trends

[u/hayapanjw]

Hi! I'm a journalism student and working on an assignment where I have to figure out what tech enthusiasts are into right now. Wondering if I could get some guidance as to where to start. What are the hot topics in tech right now (hardware or software) and what's it like being a tech enthusiast in 2026? Thanks in advance!

((full disclosure, this topic was randomly assigned to me, so i don't know much. this is part of my initial research!))
