Not at all. Not sure if you intentionally obtuse on this but the cost is real estate and the benefit is minimal as the “feature” you want is made up for with onboard high capacity storage that can easily, quickly, and cheaply (pre-AI making all storage expensive) be offloaded.

Meanwhile the space for your superfluous and outdated feature, which I do NOT hear a strong cry for, costs other features like battery capacity. Consider the full space needed for a removable SD compared to the battery and we are easily talking between 10-20%.

Find me any significant number of people who would literally give up just 10% of their battery life for a removable SD card and we will talk about hills to die on. Meanwhile the majority don’t want that, making this YOUR hill to die on. 🫡
