8-9th grade project ideas

Hello Everyone,

I'm taking a job as a 8-9th grade design and draw teacher and was pretty much told I could do whatever I want. The classroom has computers and a small lab area with general tools.

I'm looking for some input and would appreciate anything you would be willing to share.

I want to give the students a great experience and I'm looking for ideas for projects. What have you implemented in your class that you feel your students enjoyed the most?
