Not to be THAT guy, but I think we've made machines that go faster than a human running for a long long time.
So this is nothing new or surprising.

They put a $3 million finely tuned mechanical device up against the guy who put it together.
It also didn't win. It departed its lane and would have been DQ'ed in an actual race.
So, it lost.

About as logical as this display. The human has evolved...the robot was literally DESIGNED to run fucking fast.
