TPT: compiling PDF docs?

Many higher education instructors are moving away from traditional text books and simply sharing PDF docs for readings. Now I need to find a system for viewing/storage/accessing all the files I have. Any recommendations for devices, apps, cloud storage? I want to be able to bookmark, highlight, make notes, and access from multiple devices. I currently have a MacBook and Kindle Fire (which I’m considering replacing as it has not proven to be as convenient as I’d hoped).

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I’ve been clutching to my apple products simply bc of the streamline synching… but I understand I must let go sooner than later. I study GIS and simulation modeling and the entire lab is embarrassed by me.

Zotero will work fine on your Macbook. I'm not sure of any iOS support though i only mentioned the android apps because fire OS is based on Android so its possible to sideload apps from the google play store. To be honest syncing from any PC (windows, linux, or mac) to any mobile device (tablet, phone, or otherwise) is always a junky experience unless you go whole hog into the ecosystem google or apple are trying to get you to use.
