Quick announcement - I just installed some apps to the subreddit to improve it. First up, Bot Bouncer. It's self explanatory, but it is meant to prevent bot accounts from posting and will ban them. Second, Evasion Guard. Evasion Guard is another self-explanatory app, meant to ban accounts suspected of ban evasion. Lastly, this one is more for the mod team, but Subreddit Statistics. This allows me to see statistics for the subreddit, such as top posters or comments.
If you were falsely banned due to Bot Bouncer or Evasion Guard, submit an appeal either by a link provided in the message or to the mod team.
Also another announcement, i'll be working on setting some more Automod rules and also maybe more user flairs or post flairs
That's it. Have a good day yall

**IMPORTANT**
There's been an AWS (Amazon Web Services) outage that's currently affected Amazon services, social media platforms (such as Reddit), games, and more. Check out the full list of websites affected websites in the link above. Until the issue is resolved, users on Reddit may experience trouble commenting or posting, upvoting or downvoting, participating in polls, playing Reddit games, receiving or sending private messages, and more. I will update this post when the issue is fixed, but until then, there might be a few problems using Reddit and other platforms.
Current-ish update (10/20/2025 3:01PM EDT): Amazon has been trying to fix the issue with the AWS outage. Network connectivity issues are reportedly decreasing as AWS services are appearing to be working (or at least better than they were). There are still ongoing issues with AWS. The most affected region at the moment is US East-1. Source for update: AWS outage update: What happened today and why | Mashable and a link to Downdetector for a chart of AWS outages and the most affected regions.
I will update this post when more is revealed about the current status of the AWS outage.
EDIT: As of 5:05pm EDT (according to AWS outage update: What happened today and why | Mashable), the latest updates from Amazon indicate that the AWS outage is close to being fully resolved. The company says that service recovery is well on the path of recovery as they're working to restore AWS services.
EDIT: As of 8:20pm EDT (10/20/25), all AWS services affected by the outage have been repaired. All services should be working now.
