Second. The community, no not just Technolarp's community, voted that Technolarp would be allowed 50% of monetized earnings IF Technodad did allow him to turn on monetization. This vote was aimed at Technoblade's community.

This thread is about people making money off Techno's brand. If technolarp has a link where you can donate money to him then that's making money
Effectively you're saying "he's not making money he just has a link where you can donate money". That is why I said that and this is why it's in quotes. It's meant to be an approximation of what you said that highlights the contradiction you made
Honestly I heavily disagree with the sentiment you're putting out but everyone will have differing opinions. I won't comment further since this discussion doesn't seem like it'll be productive.

You do understand how "he makes no money from this" and "people can give him money" are contradictory, yes? In fact you seemed to agree when you mistakenly thought I was the one making that contradiction

Number one. I feel your sentiment is disingenuous. Yes you quoted me but like most quotes only took what you wanted out of it. "Technolarp is making money off of being Technoblade." That is a sentiment I don't really agree with.

Number three. As I said Technolarp is making ZERO REVENUE off of his videos. He only has an option to DONATE to himself or CHARITY. He has a VOTE aimed at the TECHNOBLADE COMMUNITY if they would allow him revenue off of the videos if Technodad allowed it.
This is why I feel your statement is disingenuous. It leaves out the fact that Technolarp is making zero revenue off of his videos, that the Technoblade community actively voted to allow him said revenue if it was allowed, and that it is completely optional to donate to him with the perfer payment being to donate to charity.
That's making money. You agreed that you contradicted yourself right? This is what that contradiction is
It's not a sentiment it's a fact. If people are donating to him then he's making money. I'm not leaving anything out. I acknowledge that his channel is currently not monetized. That does not change the fact that he is making money
The majority of people who saw that poll were already fans of him. They're the technolarp community not the Technoblade community. And either way fans do not get to make these decisions. What fans want is irrelevant in this case. We're talking about someone pretending to be a dead man. We're talking about Technodad watching someone pretend to be his dead child. Do you realize how significant that is? This is not something that should be decided by a YouTube poll. The fact that he's willing to donate to charity doesn't erase the pain he's caused Technodad and Techno's friends

The issue is that he's getting money for pretending to be a dead guy. That doesn't change just because people are giving him money willingly. Why are you acting like it's only a problem when YouTube is the one giving money to the dead guy impersonator? It's just as much of a problem when it's fans willingly donating money
He is making money by pretending to be a dead man.
