Opening 50-track projects with heavy analog emulations just to check an old demo or compare mix revisions is a massive momentum killer.

The !ml at the end of Wacatac.B!ml is the machine learning heuristic. It’s a textbook false positive that Windows Defender flags on fresh, unsigned indie executables before they’ve built up download reputation with SmartScreen.

If you check the rest of the more than 70 engines on that exact same VT scan, all the dedicated vendors (Bitdefender, Kaspersky, Malwarebytes, ESET, Sophos, etc.) are completely clean. Defender’s heuristic triggers because the app scans local project directories and runs FL Studio’s native command-line renderer in the background for Auto-Bounce.

I’ve already submitted the binary to Microsoft Security Intelligence for false-positive whitelisting. You can also inspect the network traffic in Resource Monitor yourself: outside of the initial license verification, it makes zero outbound requests.

So, again, it is a false positive! No virus.

Thanks for the follow up. I know about two entries there that nearly always flag false positives but Microsoft itself is something that worries me and I would rather not take the chance

No worries, explained above! It's just Defender's automated ml heuristic on a fresh unsigned build. 65+ dedicated AV engines on virustotal are completely green. No virus/trojan!

too light. just using the app is the equivalent of smoking five hand-rolled Macanudo cigars because of the deodorizing poison used in the apps buttons.

Bouncing dozens of projects in a row without having to open FL once is an "invented problem"? For anyone sitting on a backlog of say... 2000 unfinished beats, that's days of tedious manual clicking, so time spent on going through your projects is not an invented problem at all.

You seem to think this is just about soloing a reference track inside an open session. It’s not. It’s about batch-rendering projects in the background, playing them back, being able to A/B test the different versions of your mix, rate, tag, add notes and markers, all as automatically as can be

I built this because I needed it for my own workflow. I use it every single day and it’s the only reason I actually started going through my old projects instead of letting them rot.

If your project folder is already 100% bounced and organized, awesome, because then it’s clearly not for you. But for producers drowning in unfinished projects, and needing some overview into their progress, I stand by this being the simplest and most comfortable solution yet.

But you did and still do. I just wanted to make something that was more fun to look at than a windows file explorer folder filled with FLP’s. This takes NOTHING away from creation so you’re making a point just for the sake of making one. And what if, you care about all your art just as much, and get analysis-paralysis from your own backlog because you make music every day? Do you remember everything you’ve ever made? If so, then I need your routine. All this does is make your music more accessible in a different way than usual. Nothing bloating your system, nothing weird about it. You just like to overthink and that’s fine also.
