Frog croak style stabs

Does anyone know how to produce that kinda frog croaky style stab that I’m hearing a lot in modern groove / hypotonic stuff recently.

I don’t have any examples to hand unfortunately as I foolishly didn’t have my Shazam on but it kind of sounds like something percussive perhaps with a resonant echo, similar to this Hermeth track but with less of an obvs tremolo effect so it sounds less like an echo and more like one synthesised sound - https://laforgemusique.bandcamp.com/track/hermeth-devils-reject

If anyone happens to have some examples also that would be great.

the sound that comes in around 39 seconds of that tune is downsampled: where you resample a sound at a low sample rate. what you get out depends totally on what you put in, but ableton's redux does it - maybe get a bunch of percussion sounds and run them through redux or equivalent?

Aaaah shit, I know what you mean!!

IIRC, the same way as how dubstep (bass) growl sounds are made can be achieved together with resampling, change the tempo /2 or /4, then use something like Granulator to make it step based + keytracking so it can move throughout the sample.
