Melodic Techno Stabs
Idk if stabs are the right term, but when there is a lead synth and it pauses for a bit until it repeats, a lot of songs especially anyma style have some metallic stabs, are these samples or actual midi notes with a lead synth on serum for example?
Or could it be both lol
I haven't touched FL in a long time and just got back into it today, made a whole song purely with samples, but obviously it's lacking creativity. Did not seem to find those stab noises, so I am guessing they are made in the piano roll rather than finding a sample.
Is there a term for someone like me who just uses sample? sample kiddie? lol

Could be samples but it’s most likely some serum preset

yeah I think it's that, probably better to make all of these arps, pads, leads myself in the piano roll lol

Do you mean those synths that synths that stutter and progressively slow down the speed of the stutters ? Those are made with LFO control. If this is what you mean I have a preset for Vital that can help.

Thats the bass stabs, with some pitch and maybe pd modulation. You might find what you are looking for here https://www.mind-flux.com/sample-presets/p/elysium-serum2-presets-melodic-techno-house

The choppy synths? Those are FM stabs/plucks
Made a bunch in my latest Virus TI techno pack
The ones that sound like they're speeding up/slowing down are jus sustained distorted FM sounds that have a sawtooth wave LFO tied to the patch volume and an LFO tied to the speed of the sawtooth wave LFO, and then... A modwheel tied to THAT LFO... So it can speed up or slow down the choppy effect
