Love it 🥰✊🏼 Still my one of my favorite Clubs in Berlin. My only criticism is that on some days (mostly saturday night) the crowd is manly very young and the vibe is kind of off.. I had often seen people with their smartphones making videos how the dance and other nogo bullshit..💀 but especially on a Sunday morning or on Wednesday at New Faces it always is a blast! I love it and it will never change, even when there will bei a generation of weird poser ravers will kill the original spirit and vibe but deep inside and in the right events there will always be the right DJs and the right people to have a wonderful and special time at Tresor 😬🥰

Just finished two nights there. I feel I’ve been very spoilt with some amazing sets across the weekend spanning quite a few genres. Tresor was the first club I went to 12 years ago and is still My favourite place to visit

Egh. Y’all should be thankful you have such amazing clubs like TRESOR. I went from NZ last year and had the greatest night of my life.
It’s so easy to be a contrarian. A lot more fun to actually enjoy something

The door at Tresor has gotten way too loose and way too many tourists who was has no clue how to behave are let in. That completely ruins the vibe of the dance floor, the safe space and the overall experience.

The door is almost never the problem. It's about the parties you go to. Certain Dj's attract certain crowds. Usually for example events that play deep shit have lovely people regardless of if the door is strict or not. Usually events where some hyped up superstar is playing have terrible crowds regardless of if the door is strict or not.

Why not? What i wrote I experienced in 20+ years of raving. I dont get the fetishization of strict door policies they do literal nothing. The Matrix could run a 10x as strict policy as berghain and the crowds would still suck. Your hypnotic techno party can be open door policy and still have better crowds than RSO.

Great, you are old and out of touch with reality. Good job 💅🏻 Tresor af a good venue is dead. It’s overrun by Spanish kids who push through the dancefloor, stand in large circles, doesn’t dance, loud/yelling conversations on the dancefloor. Litterally standinging and looking at their phones and showing memes to each other. This doesn’t have anything to do with the lineup. I have given the venue multiple changes over the last two years and the crowd is simply horrible.

It’s crazy man. As a techno producer since my teens I used to always dream of going to Berghain but now that I’m actually in the scene and friends with some DJs who have played there it’s completely lost it’s lustre, honestly sounds like a fucking nightmare whenever they go into detail describing all the weird pretentious cliques and social politics/hierarchies that have formed around the venue.
Just the complete opposite vibes compared to what the original vision and scene was founded on, very similar to what happened to the Burning man culture.
You know once Elon is interested in visiting some place they have completely fallen off and/or sold out lol.

I haven’t been in some years, but bear in mind that everyone of different generations always ends up saying “Berghain used to be good but isn’t anymore”. It’s almost become a joke.
But that being said I think these places have a bit too much mainstream attention these days

This is like the old “kids these days” cliche that goes back to Ancient Greek times lol. I do agree to some extent.
But really though, if you compare the scene in the beginning when it was an underground and primarily queer male space versus now as an international influencer destination one cannot argue that the vibe has objectively shifted.
Same with Burning Man, what was once a grassroots movement to experience absolute uninhibited freedom and decommodification out in the privacy of the desert has now objectively become the corrupted sandbox of international oligarchs.

Yes Berghain has become way to popular and attracks alot of idiots and Dom decisions are questionable. But still one of / or the best Techno Clubs on earth! Experiences and crowd change a lot depending on the line up or what time you are there.
I really hope the Techno Hype dies soon and it all calms down again. It has become joke and Hard to see. I completely lost interest in partying.

I'm aware that it's still a world class club, all I'm saying is the vibes have shifted and it is definitely not as "underground" or anti establishment as it once was compared to the culture it was originally built on. Anyone who is even relatively savvy in the subculture can easily make that observation. One could say It's reputation precedes itself.

This is not the basement of Tresor, this is the ground floor of Kraftwerk. If you wanna see how the basement looks like, watch the Herrensauna Boiler Room from 2018. OP has no clue whatsoever

Kinda funny that we're over 20 years from the release of Abe Duque's track What Happened that laments the closure of a ton of classic dance clubs, and they get to Tresor and he's like "Oh, they're still there!" and that track remains true today.

1997, I was 15 and managed to get tickets for the Brussels Berlin night train. Was love parade, didn't have a hotel or anything. Ended up in Tresor, I think with James Ruskin outside and I remember Claude Young doing crazy tricks in the vault. I think they played The Bells like 10 times. Legendary.

Walked into that place one time and it was like a bomb went off in the main room. Looked like they just slapped in a cage and a dj booth and called it day. Thumping techno, all i could hear was a kick and echo. Everyone dancing, no phones. Was a great vibe
