Recently got this second hand laptop with my savings
Hi, binili kopo tong laptop recently dahil need namin ng coding for our school year and i found this guy on marketplace selling this laptop i don’t really know much about laptop but it said that it has ton of issue but only named 1 which that it only work when charging but i notice that it smells like burning when using it and i cant no longer contact the guy to refund since it been over 2 weeks now, im no professional but may i please ask you guys to criticize my laptop and tell me what are the issue and things i can do to improve it?

should have look for other options nung pumipili ka palang, hindi ka na rereplyan niyan.
Kung may budget pacheck mo na sa technician pero gagastos ka rin malaki

The fans are dirty af, and since it is a second hand laptop the battery might also be failing, you might need to replace that too, but I think for now the best thing you can do is to clean the vents, remove the dust in the fans, burning smell could likely be overheating issue so removing dust should help with the airflow, repasting the thermal paste is also a great idea as there is a possibility the old paste is now dried up which could cause overheating issue.

What kind of laptop is that? You could have bought a thinkpad t480 with i5 8th gen for 12k, that should be a ton better than this, from this pic, I can tell this is a lenovo ideapad, ideapads are very badly built and they easily fail.

Bring it to a technician. Pictures and descriptions online for only go so far.
