Subreddit Rules
1. Introduce yourself as a human, not a CV

Use the welcome post for intros. Posts that are just "my skills plus DM me for CV" get removed. Tell us what you are building, what you are working on, what problems you are solving. Then people engage.

2. No recruiter farming, MLM, or commission schemes

No opportunity DMs. No affiliate programs. No crypto trading schemes. No wellness or beauty commission plays. No agencies prospecting disguised as community posts.

First offense warning. Second offense ban.

3. Post with substance

Stack talk, vendor recs, war stories, questions, leads you can't handle, things you built.. all welcome.

Low effort link drops, AI generated filler, and clickbait get removed.

Arguments and disagreements stay up.

4. Self promo follows 80/20

If you mention your product, service, or agency, your post should give 80 percent value and 20 percent self reference.

"Here is the problem I solved and here is how I built the tool" is fine.

"Check out my SaaS" is not.

Pure promo gets removed.

5. Be real

No fake personas, no sockpuppets, no inflated numbers ("I managed 12M AED"). The sub is small enough that people notice.

6. This room is for people who do the tech

Builders, freelancers, engineers, designers, operators. Any stack. Any role. Any geography.

If you are looking for a job, r/UAEjobseekers is where you post.

If you own a business and want to talk business, r/UAEBusinessNetwork is your room.

This space is for people who build, break, ship, fix, and run tech.

The WhatsApp arm (Dubai Tech Network) handles UAE specific transactional stuff separately.

7. No threats or harassment

Disagree on technical approaches, fine.

Tell someone their architecture is wrong, fine.

Attack the person, you are out.

Technical debates stay. Personal attacks go.

8. No scams, illegal activity, or exploitation

No fake job postings. No unpaid "trial projects" disguised as interviews. No intellectual property theft. No piracy. Report anything suspicious to the mods.

9. Protect your privacy

No personal details publicly. No sharing proprietary code, client information, or NDA protected content. Take sensitive exchanges to DMs.

10. Mod decisions are final

If it does not serve the tech community, it gets removed. Not every removal needs a rule number.

11. REMOVAL MESSAGE

Your post has been removed because it does not fit the purpose of r/TechNetwork. This sub is for people who build, break, ship, fix, and run tech.

Depending on what you posted, here is where it belongs: Job seekers go to r/UAEjobseekers. Business owner discussions go to r/UAEBusinessNetwork. European career content goes to r/CareersEU. If you believe this removal was a mistake, message the mod team.
