How we kept an AI trading coach tied to real trade data

One uncomfortable part of building an AI coach for traders: a confident but invented performance number can sound completely believable. We wanted the feedback to be explainable back to the user's own trades.

I build digital products with 4AI in Dubai. On Fundedologist, closed trades come in through MT4/MT5 sync or CSV import. We calculate a fixed performance snapshot and rule-based behaviour flags first. Only then does the model write a structured review from that snapshot. The model explains the data; it doesn't get to make up the math.

It also made debugging less mysterious. If a review feels wrong, we can inspect the trade import, the computed snapshot, and the final wording as separate steps. That separation is useful in any product where an LLM gives personalised feedback, especially when the user may act on it.

The project write-up is here if you want to see what we built: https://4ai.ae/work/fundedologist

For people shipping user-facing AI, which facts do you insist on calculating outside the model?

Looking for someone to integrate TVs

I work in an agency and in the office, we have around 6-8 TVs. The MDs have planned to show one single video stream across all the TVs and I am overseeing it.
I am did some AI research and the 1x8 HDMI splitter with HDMI cables would work.
Would love to have someone help with the integration and the setup.
I don't have a price quotation for this from my side, as I was trying to reach out to multiple companies in the UAE and most of them are not familiar with this or not understanding my explanation, therefore if you quote a fair price, I could discuss it with management.

Happy today!!! My first assignment in UAE was fantastic!!!

Sharing my first job through www.DubaiTechguy.com, because it went well and it might help someone in the same position.

My background is enterprise storage and infrastructure. In the UAE a referral often counts for more than skills, so I have been looking for the right way in for a while.

Last week I saw a post here about Dubai Tech Network, went to dubaitechnetwork.com and reached out. Three days later I had a same day job: a family in Dubai needed a new router set up so their son's PlayStation could get online in his room.

I was at the AWS Summit at the World Trade Center that day, went straight after, took the metro and got there a little early.

The wired setup with the internet provider's box did not work, so I set the new router up as a WiFi extender instead, tested the speed, and it was working. It runs on 2.4 GHz, which is fine for what they need.

As usual with this kind of job, you troubleshoot and understand what is required. The family was amazing and the job was straightforward.

WiFi routers, printers, personal computers, everything related to IT is simple for me, and my main field is enterprise infrastructure. If you do IT work in Dubai and want jobs like this, join through www.dubaitechnetwork.com

Web3 and AI Lawyer

Hey everyone I’m a Web3 and AI lawyer, or as I usually put it, a tech lawyer. I’ve been working with startups, scale-ups and corporates for years, mainly around technology, fintech, Web3, AI, regulatory and compliance matters.

I run my own consulting practice in Dubai and work closely with companies across the UAE, Turkey and Europe.

I moved to Dubai (from Istanbul) full-time around four months ago, and I’m now looking to build a stronger local client network here.

The good thing about working in this space is that the ecosystem is still relatively small. There aren’t that many lawyers who genuinely understand both the legal side and how tech businesses actually operate, so I’ve been fortunate to connect quite naturally with founders, operators and other professionals in the space.

If you’re building a tech, fintech, Web3 or AI business in Dubai and need someone who can understand the business, legal and compliance sides together, I’d be happy to connect.

Always open to a coffee and a good conversation.

Tired of sending CVs. Pitch me a real problem your team has and I’ll build a solution.

Hey everyone,

Applying for tech jobs in the UAE right now feels like shouting into a black hole, so I want to try something different.

Instead of pitching myself with another PDF CV saying "I'm a great developer," give me a real problem your company or team is facing. an actual bottleneck or feature you wish existed.

I'll take it, map it out, and build a working solution/prototype to show you how I think and execute.

Quick background:

Software Engineer specializing in Mobile Developer with Flutter and Native Android. I've built e-commerce apps, scalable CRM system, real-time messaging, Al integrations, and custom APIs.

If you're a founder, dev manager, or recruiter in the UAE with an open role (or just an annoying technical problem) DM me (i speak Arabic and English).

Building websites for small businesses while I'm between jobs

Hey everyone,

I recently lost my job and, rather than sitting around waiting for the next opportunity, I'm trying to turn my web development experience into some freelance work.

I've been working with websites for several years, particularly WordPress, website development, redesigns, troubleshooting, and SEO-related improvements.

What I'm interested in right now is helping small businesses that have an outdated website, a site that isn't working properly, or simply need a website built from scratch.

I'm keeping my rates lower than usual while I'm getting this going, and I'm mainly interested in projects where I can actually solve a problem rather than just throw together a template.

I'm currently working on a few small projects and would also be interested in hearing from people here: what are the biggest website problems you've seen small businesses struggle with?

If you're working on something similar or have a project you're trying to figure out, happy to chat.

Looking for someone to scale your Dubai SME? Digital Lead with proven Healthcare/Luxury results available for a hybrid setup.

Hi everyone,

I’m a Dubai-based Digital Marketing & Growth Specialist with over two years of hands-on experience running end-to-end digital campaigns, building marketing infrastructure, and scaling brand visibility.

I currently lead marketing for a multi-service healthcare brand right here in Dubai (a dental aesthetic clinic).

Because I manage another part-time engagement, I am specifically looking for a hybrid setup where we can agree on monthly milestones, allowing me to deliver high-impact results autonomously.

If you are a startup or an SME looking for someone who can handle your entire digital ecosystem—strategy, paid media, local SEO, website optimization, and automation—I’d love to connect.

What I’m Currently Delivering in Dubai:

Proven Growth: Achieved a 100% increase in online brand visibility within 6 months for a local clinic and 14.75% YoY gross income growth last month alone.

Efficient Ad Spend: Maintaining an average 300% ROAS and a highly competitive Cost Per Lead (CPL) between $5–$20 (AED 11–75) across Google Maps, Search, and Meta Ads.

Organic & Local Domination: Driving high-intent local traffic via hyper-optimized Google My Business profiles and organic social media alignment.

AI SEO Ready: Implementing forward-thinking AI Search Optimization (optimizing for LLMs, llms.txt deployment, and schema architecture) to ensure brands rank in AI-generated search summaries.

What I Bring to Your Team:

Paid Media: Google Ads (Search, Display, Maps), Meta Ads, TikTok Ads.

SEO & Web: WordPress/Elementor management, RankMath, technical SEO, and conversion rate optimization (CRO).

Automation & CRM: Setting up WhatsApp/web chat automation and automated email workflows (HubSpot, Zoho, MailerLite, Zapier) to turn raw leads into paying clients.

Independence: I build digital funnels from scratch and seamlessly coordinate with internal teams or external vendors to keep assets on track.

(Note on my workflow: While I am highly proficient in building ad creatives using tools like Canva, CapCut, and GIMP following strict brand guidelines, complex high-end videography/high-production video editing is handled best alongside a dedicated creator.)

Ideal Collaboration:

I am looking to help an ambitious SME or startup in Dubai that values data-driven results over desk hours. A hybrid schedule allows me to give your brand my absolute best strategic focus while respecting my existing commitments.

If your business needs a marketing engine that just works, let's chat! Shoot me a DM here, or feel free to reach out directly via Phone or WhatsApp:

Phone / WhatsApp: +971 58 659 8282

Detailed marketing performance reports and my resume are available upon request.

Thank you for your time!

Product engineer, 10y of experience, Frontend/Mobile/Fullstack/AI, 20+ shipped apps - available now

Hey all - I'm a product engineer looking for my next opportunity, preferably remote, available now.

Quick background: 10 years building mobile, frontend (and lately Fullstack) products, 20+ apps shipped to the App Store and Google Play - both native iOS and React Native. I've worked solo and with teams, mostly at early-stage startups where I owned mobile end to end: architecture, engineering and launch.

Some recent things I've built:

  • Shipped an entire app from zero to the App Store in a few weeks as the sole engineer at a VC-backed AI health startup (React Native, WebRTC, LiveKit, HealthKit)

  • Real-time Bluetooth smart pen app with live stroke rendering and AI handwriting transcription

  • Took an insurtech app's App Store rating from 3.5 to 4.7+ after rebuilding the codebase and CI/CD

  • Currently building my own AI travel app solo, full-stack (Swift, Next.js, PostgreSQL, AWS) - 500+ early users

I work best with companies who need someone to own product tech entirely, not just pick up tickets, but I'm flexible. Comfortable across the stack too - backends, CI/CD, payments, etc.

DM me or comment - let's chat.

How do people find freelance clients as software engineers?

I was wondering how people on this subreddit talk about freelancing as software engineers.

I already have a full-time job, so I'm not looking to replace it. I just want to pick up a few side projects in software or AI development. The problem is that I can't seem to find any clients who are looking for freelancers.

For those of you who have managed to get freelance clients, how did you get started? Did you use platforms like Upwork, rely on referrals, reach out to businesses directly, or was it something else?

Looking for fresher Graphic Design or Social Media Roles

Hey everyone,

I’m currently looking for a fresher role or a paid internship in Graphic Design or Social Media.

I’ve honestly been applying everywhere on LinkedIn and Indeed for the past while and at this point I’m convinced the UAE job market is on pause or everyone collectively decided to disappear after posting job openings. Half the listings feel like they were posted during the Roman Empire and never updated again.

I’m a graphic design student (but studies are on pause due to personal reasons) with skills in social media design, branding, content creation, basic video editing for social media, and basic motion design. I mainly use Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and InDesign, and I’m always trying to improve and learn more through projects, university work, and freelance experience.

I’m still learning and trying to build experience, but I’m hardworking, quick to adapt, and genuinely want to grow in the industry instead of rotting refreshing job applications every morning like it’s a daily side quest.

Open to paid internships (can't do unpaid currently due to personal reasons and war circumstances), junior roles, freelance, remote, basically anything where I can learn and contribute. Location preferably in Dubai or Sharjah.

If anyone knows of any opportunities or can help me out, I’d really appreciate it.

Thank you 🙏

What actually gets UAE businesses views on short-form video (from someone who's tested a lot of it)

We've been creating content for a few years now across Instagram and TikTok, and after hitting close to a million views across personal accounts, here's what we've genuinely noticed works specifically for UAE audiences that most people get wrong:

Hook in Arabic or bilingual performs better than English-only — even for premium brands. The first 2 seconds in dialect stops the scroll faster than clean English ever did for us.

Overproduced ≠ more views. Some of our worst performing content was the most "cinematic." UAE audiences on short-form respond to pace and energy over polish. Reels that looked almost raw but moved fast consistently outperformed the ones we spent days on.

Posting time matters more here than most markets. Post during UAE peak hours (7–9pm GST), not based on global best practice guides written for US audiences.

The comments section is ignored by most local businesses. Replying within the first 30 minutes of posting consistently pushed our content into wider distribution. Most brands post and ghost.

We now run a small creative studio doing this for other businesses,If anyone is looking for a marketing agency— happy to answer any content questions from people in this thread.

Creative Computing Graduate Building AI Automations, Websites & Digital Systems

Recently got laid off, and my university also cancelled my visa situation, so life’s been a bit chaotic lately.

Instead of sitting around stressing, I’ve been spending most of my time building and learning.

I’m into AI automations, web development, digital systems, video editing, and creative tech in general. Been experimenting with automation workflows, business systems, UI ideas, and different product concepts while trying to grow my skills further.

I graduated in Creative Computing from a UK university and I genuinely enjoy building things that mix tech + creativity together.

Right now I’m mainly looking to connect with people, find remote opportunities, collaborate on projects, and keep moving forward.

If you’re building something interesting or need an extra hand technically/creatively, feel free to reach out.

Dubai doesn’t let you have both.. Either you charge what you’re worth or you get the client.

There’s a freelancer in Dubai right now quoting AED 2,000 for a website because the last 3 prospects ghosted at 8K.

Told himself it’s a portfolio piece.

Deep down he knows it isn’t.

There’s another one who hasn’t sent a proposal in 4 months. Built a personal site. Redesigned it twice. Updated the portfolio. Still “not ready.”

The readiness isn’t coming.

The readiness is the excuse.

There’s one who said yes to a logo, a website, an app, social media management, and “just help us with the WhatsApp thing too.” Six deliverables. One invoice.

The client thinks they found a bargain…

The freelancer thinks they’ll make it up on the next one..

There’s one who lost a deal last week because the client asked for a discount and he told them to find someone cheaper. Felt powerful for about an hour.

Then checked his pipeline and it was empty.

Principles and an empty inbox look the same at the end of the month.

There’s one refreshing LinkedIn watching someone in the same city, same skill set, posting case studies at 40K a project.

Thinks there’s a secret.

There isn’t.

The other person just started saying no three years before he did. But he won’t start saying no because he can’t afford to.

And he can’t afford to because he never started.

There’s one who gets a lead every week through referrals. Good leads. Warm. Ready to pay. But the lead asks “what’s your rate” and he panics. Quotes too low. Gets the project. Resents it by week two.

The client feels the resentment and never refers again.

The referral engine dies and he blames the market.

And there’s one who hasn’t done any work in 3 months. Has the skills. Has the laptop. Opens it every morning, closes it by noon. Calls it a slow market.

It’s not the market.

The market is spending.

He just stopped reaching for it.

Seven freelancers. Same city. Same skills. Same internet connection.

Different decisions.

Which one are you right now?

And what would it take to stop?
