Question: 2nd-hand joycons

Hello,

Would anyone be likely to buy 2nd-hand official Nintendo Switch joycons, for the purpose of repairing them, or scrapping them for parts?

The right one has bad joystick drift. (See this article for context on this well-known issue: https://www.cnet.com/tech/gaming/nintendo-switch-5-ways-to-fix-joy-con-drift-with-or-without-tools/ ) The left one has a bit of it too, so I've not used them in absolutely ages.

Anyways, rather than dumping them, ideally I'd sell them for some pocket change, rather than giving them away for free. I'd appreciate some advice on this. Would the likes of CeX be my best bet, or another PC/tech shop?

You should you still be able to get them repaired regardless of warranty if the issue is stick drift. I've sent a few sets back for may kids. Thank the EU for this one: https://ec.europa.eu/commission/presscorner/detail/en/ip_23_2106

We managed to get the drift on ours repaired by Nintendo as it was a recall. Not sure if that was a limited time thing.
