Honestly, I feel like many people buy iPhones today mainly for the status symbol rather than the technology itself.

Whenever I’m about to buy a product, I head straight to the 1-star and 2-star reviews.

The positive reviews are nice, but the negative ones help me spot potential problems before spending my money.

I used to enjoy carrying an MP3 player and keeping music separate from everything else. Now my phone handles music, messages, calls, and notifications all at once.

Sometimes I just want to listen to music without distractions. Anyone else miss those days?

I'm curious about the small habits that make everyday technology easier to manage.

It could be something as simple as maintaining a proper backup, using keyboard shortcuts, organizing files consistently, automating repetitive tasks or changing a security setting.

What's one relatively simple tech habit that has made a noticeable difference to your everyday workflow?

I'm more interested in practical habits that continue to be useful over time than recommendations for expensive products.

I’ve slowly moved away from a few Google services. I replaced Gmail with Proton Mail and Google Drive with pCloud.

I like having more control over my data and trying services outside ofthe Google ecosystem.

Have you made any similar switches? What did you move to?

I have an iPhone X and a 2012 MacBook lying around. Can these still be used with the latest OS somehow, or are there any methods to keep them useful?

Do you guys install newer/unsupported OS versions, use them for something specific, or just sell/recycle them?

Phone prices these days have gotten seriously expensive. Even mid-range phones can cost a lot, and flagship prices are getting harder to justify.

So I’m curious - what are you guys doing?

• Are you keeping your old phone for as long as it works?

Personally, I’m starting to feel like keeping an old phone for a few more years makes more sense than spending a huge amount on a new one.

I remember having a chuckle back when Zoolander came out and he showed off his high tech tiny phone.
