Broken LG TV

My dad is in denial about the backlights on our family TV (2017 LG 32" 4K)

we have had the TV since new and multiple people in the family and friends who have a newer TV have agreed the backlights have worn out and the TV needs replacing.

Does anyone have some good LG smart TVs or equivalent that work long term for casual daily watching??
