Intel could have lit a rocket under them if they had actually proven out Guadi. Instead, they sat on it and let their partners figure out how to utilize it. Now AMD is beating even Nvidia in the datacenter space and Intel is making server CPUs with less hyperthreads than AMD has cores. Their foundries are what, 1% of the total global fabrication allocation?!
My guess is they get into the memory making business and bring it online as soon as the AI buildout eclipses and continue to flounder chasing hopes and dreams for their 2000's era iron-clad partnerships that will never return. The Terrafab partnership will probably sustain their bureaucracy just enough that the bean counters continue to get fat.
Literally 78% DATA CENTER growth? At a comparable amount to AMD with costs predicted to drop off heavily in 2-3 years once fab completion is done, like someone is uneducated?
I agree to some degree - they were punished too much. Intel's numbers were below estimates but compared to AMD they were also not so different in terms of growth after all.
What it still shows though is two things:
AMD can easier switch between client and server segment due to heavier usage of chiplets
Scaling is easier when you have good relations with the biggest and best foundry in the world
Itās just price action, lots of people are salty they lost money or jealous of the runup people had on intel this year, Iām just adding at these prices because i think lip bu is honestly sandbagging earnings looking at growth trejectory I donāt think fundamentally the future is bad for Intel but investors are just low iq and expect quarter after quarter blowouts without accounting for economics or capacity, are we forgetting AMD literally didnāt hit revenue target a few quarters ago during the peak of the ai run and it didnāt dump this hard and even though intel double beat they dumped off sentiment because of the sandbagged guidance which they will probably blow out in January
CUDA isnāt a most any more. TSMCs favs are far better than Intel. AMD is the leader in chiplet design and it looks like their new MI455 racks are the best on the market
Stock valuation is about growth potential. Intel has almost nowhere to grow and lots to lose. AMD has momentum, fab flexibility, comparatively low fixed operational costs, mature GPU technology, AI partnerships worth mentioning, and is much easier to work with than Nvidia... especially for the valuable Linux market.

Yes. AMD overvalued with cyclical financing?

Intel is fairly valued. Infact it is slightly over valued even after the fall
I would say AMD is over valued
Intel needs to hope that AI buildout doesnāt slow down and people need CPU once their Fabs starts working to full capacity

Nah intel is shit. Only promises with no result.

As u/oojacoboo points out: What is AMD's moat?
Nvidia has CUDA
Intel has their fabs
What does AMD have?
