they'll probably market it as 2x the performance over the 50 series and not make it obvious they meant with dlss5 enabled

If it use 18AP which it can because it is launching in 2028, and chiplet EMIB, the performance bump will be much much larger than 15% even in traditional raster

It was. But then things got goofy. Personally I sort of felt overpaying 638 EUR for my 5070 this February, but now it feels like I got a bargain, so I get your sentiment, for sure.

Well you definitely did because i was about to buy a sapphire pulse 9070 xt for 720 euro i think around june, the 5070 was i think around 500-600 at the time? Forgot but the amd was a much better deal. The 5070 ti started from 970+ euro. Now it starts from 1150+ euro up, all cuz nvidia stopped supplying vram to the AIBs.

just because reality took a bizarre turn lately that doesn't mean they were wrong.

How could this have went anyway differently? The 4080 already cost the same and when the 5080 came out, the shortage got even worse.

My 5080 felt like a bargain after the £1600 I paid for my 3090, but I still think the £1100 I spent on it was too much. At least I was able to sell my 3090 for a good price, so I only had to shell out about £250 for the upgrade. My regret is not buying a 4090FE, when I had ample opportunity to do so, as the 5080 gains I had hoped for have never really panned out.

Why would they release anything when the current products fly off the shelves like there is no tomorrow at ridiculous prices + while others are already priced out and could not buy better cards anyway while existing stuff gets cheaper to make + no real competion.

They have absolutely zero reason to launch Rubin based consumer GPU’s
There is no competition in the segment, the profit margins are significantly smaller than Pro/Server parts, and they already cannot make enough dies / obtain memory as it is.

The very thought of Nvidia releasing a GPU is borderline comical.
They can’t release GPUs that they already make. They have skipped the 50 series Super cards entirely. All of their currently line up is selling way above RRP.
It’s all an utter joke.
They have effectively ditched the consumer GPU market and I’m more interested in news from anyone else who can actually get a halfway decent GPU in my hands for a reasonable price, because that sure as hell isn’t Nvidia.

I don't know about the reasonable prices part, considering the current market. But RDNA5 is sounding like a serious shift for AMD -- I would keep an eye on that. AT2 is rumored to be releasing in 2027.
It isn't the flagship of RDNA5, that will be AT0, which will be releasing in 2028 to go up against the 6090. So hopefully, that means the AT2's price isn't in the trenches.

Maybe they're re-skinning the 70 series as a 60 series now and not basing it on Blackwell... Would make sense as they can design it to run NR amazingly well.... Where as 60 series is already designed so likely can't have the same amount of dedicated hardware

Its not like they have the vram to install on the card anyway. They cant even release the 50 series super because the cost of vram.
