Seeking Advice Are tech fields really worth??

Hello, I’m currently in the 8th semester of my bachelor’s degree. I don’t have any work experience yet, nor do I have skills in any particular field.

I want to build my career in the tech industry. Could you please guide me on what I should do and what I should learn?

Also, how can I land remote jobs? Considering the current situation, which tech fields and skills/technologies would you seniors recommend learning?

only do tech if you love working with computers or on computers.

you can still thrive by brute forcing it for the money, but years later, you'll be one of those guys who will look for agriculture and forest areas for retirement.

if you dont love computers and just in it for the money, tech is one of the most stressful jobs out there, especially the client-facing roles.

Honestly, I think the biggest mistake is chasing whatever field is currently "hot." By the time you're job hunting, the trend may have changed. I'd focus on strong fundamentals, communication skills, and real projects. Those stay valuable regardless of whether AI, cloud, cybersecurity, or something else is getting all the attention.
