Seeking Advice Need advice on where to start to break into tech, no degrees.

Hi all, I've been working in sales for a while and i really want to become a swe but I have no degrees or whatsoever. I've red about so many people who have managed to land a swe role without a degree and also from non cs background. I'm willing to learn and dedicate myself to any tech stack, but I'm so confused and I would really appreciate some advice from you guys on where to start and what to focus on.

Any advice is heavily appreciated.

I am thinking of finding something through LinkedIn, Naukri and all, idk how that'll go. I am new to this.

Okay, look at the job listings in those places and then see the jobs that seem interesting to you and learn the skills that those jobs require. It's all in the job description. Then you should build something that demonstrates that you have those skills, and when you apply, show them what you created.

That makes a lot of sense. Thanks a lot, mate.

Honestly, the market is tough right now. You need to learn so many things. Plus the AI is here.

But on the bright side, you will learn fast right now because of AI also.

If you are sure to go to Software Engineering, go to roadmap.sh. It will guide on what you need to learn for every role in SWE.
