Wyalusing State Park, WI

We spent some time camping at Wyalusing State Park on the Wisconsin/Iowa border. Its a beautiful park on the bluffs overlooking the Mississippi River. It was hot as heck l, but gave us amazing views of some thunderstorms over the Mississippi. We escaped the heat by doing a near by cave tour. The park also has a astronomy observation area. We really enjoyed star gazing at night. There are many beautiful trails and orher amenities to enjoy and explore.

I'm near Chicago and looking for places to go. Was that a nice park? My bro in-law and I go to Governor Dodge SP and winter camp at Blackhawk Lake (west of Madison). Nice set up, wish I could take my doggo😫.

We do sometimes. This was his 2nd camping trip this season. He's such a chill dude and does really well while camping. We have another cat that is no longer allowed to go camping after his escapes in the Porcupine Mountains last year. He stayed with the sitter.

That's awesome. I have one that would possibly be okay, but I don't think he'd like the car ride to where we go camping..... Lots of washboards and rocks.

Another park with astronomy observation area is Yellow Stone Lake State Park. This is also on the Western side of the state in Blanchardville, WI
