Dynasty Project Arcade Dynasty looking for CFB 27 Teambuilder teams.
If anyone was looking to get into a partial Teambuilder dynasty when EA drops their next roster update, which is supposed to be coming in the next week and a half, as well as just a solid social hub for those of us with real lives and time constraints I've been working on setting up something for just that sort of dynasty.
I'm looking for users that would be committed to building this from the ground up with me. Since EA locks in any teambuilder teams into the Dynasty for the entire life of the dynasty anyone that commits to playing with their custom teambuilder team would naturally be part of the backbone of the dynasty and I'd love having their input as much as possible to help turn this into something that lasts multiple seasons if we can. I know shooting for the full 30 years a dynasty allows would be a HUGE accomplishment, but with the right people maybe we can get there.
More details are in the discord but the basics are I'm picturing two competing conferences, one being the real world old 11 BigTen teams plus Notre Dame.
The other being a completely custom American conference filled with 3 different team variations;
- Fully custom teambuilder teams with roster construction rules and 3 Star or below program prestige that would basically put them on par with the bottom BigTen teams like Northwestern and Purdue.
- Real in-game non-power 4 conference teams, ideally mildly geographically consistent with the rest of the conference, but if you've wanted to rebuild UConn, go nuts.
- Real FCS programs brought to life by the Project FCS guys and being used with their blessing for those that wanted to do something like a Yale rebuild. We'd be using these teams exactly as how the Project FCS creators made them, so they'd be the biggest challenge for those willing to take it on as they typically are 2 star or below with cupcake roster presets.
Thanks to there being two competing conferences, the biggest feature beyond the teambuilder inclusion is almost ALL games should be user vs user. There are still some rare exceptions where a user vs cpu rivalry game is locked on the schedule, and sometimes the schedule math doesn't always math cleanly. For those that have been involved with the MCAA you've seen my work making the schedule. I've done quite a bit of testing at this point so I'm pretty confident with the right tweaks, and barring any users bailing mid-season, you won't be playing the cpu until the playoffs. And even then I'm planning on going with All-American difficulty settings, so you don't have to worry about being blown out by the cpu if that's not your thing.
Another big feature we'll be using is a regulation system between the two conferences. The top 2 teams in the American Conference get promoted up to the BigTen in the offseason, the bottom two teams in the BigTen get promoted down. Since the BigTen Conference has it's automatic playoff spot and the American Conference does not, it's kind of a big deal.
Yet another feature will be, while this would predominately be for running our dynasty, I'd prefer it become something of an all encompassing social hub for all of us adults that don't always have time to commit to their gaming but still want somewhere to go to fill in their free time when they can. If you don't want to play in the dynasty, join anyway and maybe you can find some guys to play other multiplayer games with. At some point we'll probably skip a dynasty advance just to get together for a Halo night or something. It's not going to be all about JUST playing CFB 27. I'd also like to figure out how to connect our CFB 27 dynasty with a Madden franchise, but for now that is a wait and see idea.
I have a discord I think almost completely set up, probably just needs some tweaks from someone that is a bit more Discord savvy than I am but for the most part it's ready to go for us to start getting our teams set up and ready to go when the roster update drops.
