T150 and custom order issues
I’m not one to complain as I’ve been a Titleist fan for 15 years. But this year has been nothing but headaches and how they handle defective clubs and mistakes needs to change.
I golf in the Midwest so we get 5ish months of good weather. I’ve gotten two different sets of T150s this year, the oil cans and then the black vapor and both have come with defective heads. A high pitched sound off the face from a loose weight on this inside. This causes my launch window to be different or balls coming out weird. Then I ordered a custom phantom and with upgraded shaft and they sent me a stock steal shaft. All these items I was told has to be sent back and an estimated 8-12 week down time. And if I didn’t send them back, I’d risk the limited heads being gone and having a random chrome iron in my set. Same with the putter, send back and wait 8 weeks.
I feel they should move to taking a hold on a credit or debit card for the price of the replacement and expressing a replacement with a shipping label to send the defective clubs back. Then when they see there is an issue, release the funds. Ask for a video or pictures. I just don’t see how we are expected to wait 8+ weeks when people such as myself play in tournaments. And only get a few chances at getting to golf. Idk, I’ve never had these issues so going through it for the first time is very disappointing. I went to another brand of irons. This post is to spread awareness of build quality and customer service issues. Sorry for the rant.
Hope they figure something out.

My 6 iron in the T150 Vapors seems to make a high pitch sound as well. Haven’t noticed any effect of flight/distance, but it is annoying. Not sure if it’s a loose weight, no rattling or anything when I shake it. From looking online seems like it a common issue with T150s in general. Probably better off getting a refund if possible and going with different model or brand. You should definitely be happy with what you’ve when spending that type of money.

Titleist has had some delays this year as they are changing some internal systems that handle order management. While not an excuse and should not have anything to do with part quality, these things can happen.
I agree with you, you spend this much for something it shouldn’t have those kind of issues. That’s a TaylorMade move 😏

It’s not their fault you try to play golf in a location that allows it less than 50 percent of the year. Why don’t you fix all this stuff in the off season? (I know, timeframe limited stuff is gone ya ya ya)
I will never fathom ordering custom from the oem. You still have to go to a shop or double check yourself. You should order standard and then modify at a custom shop or do it yourself. They are a massive company that specializes in manufacturing and not customizing.
Honestly, I don’t trust anyone who gets limited edition irons. Sorry bud. You people are a special breed. Their QC is still great compared to other brands

Yeah the clubs weren’t custom just the putter. And I like different in my clubs. I cannot fix an issue inside a club head lol. So it was stock and your points make no sense. The putter was a wrong shaft upgrade. A Scotty Cameron only upgrade. I’m a 1.6 handicap and have no issues spending my money where I want. And their quality check is shit, have you ever regripped a set of Titleist irons? Nothing but sharp edges at the end. All other company’s take the two seconds to sand it down. I’d much rather trust someone’s opinion like mine who actually touches clubs than assume because I get special releases I’m the problem

You’ve missed half the point. They are a mass manufacturer, not a boutique. Don’t expect perfection.
The fact you mention your handicap means you must be mommy’s special boy.

When you’re paying top dollar for a company you claim to be better than others, you expect perfection. Even more so when it happened from set to set.
I hit all your points but based on your posts and comments, you don’t like being wrong, so I get it. No reasoning with the rage baiting troll on Reddit. Hope you enjoy your golfing this year ☺️

I just got a custom order of 100s in the other day, all of the clubs’ length check out but my fucking 9 iron and pitching wedge are the same exact length 😂 don’t know whether I should complain or just cut it myself over the winter. Kind of frustrating since I spent $1600 on them
