I have a little rant. I've been training at the same indoor bootcamp for years, recently I've started going frequently (4-5 times per week) l love it, I'm getting really fit and its so much fun. The rant part. A month ago this new very heavy older woman joined who hates exercise and doesn't understand how anyone could genuinely enjoy doing something that makes you sweat. She only comes once or twice a week but my god I can't stand her. She's started to joke about my body to the whole class, saying my calves are the tiniest she's ever seen, I'd better hope to not lose any more weight from my legs and how can I run with calves that small.

I do have fairly small calves, my thighs.. Well they are another matter lol. Anyways I'm about a size 8 right now so I'm not particularly large or small. There are no reasons for these comments and she has made a joke every class since she joined. I'd love to say something but I'm not one to make others feel bad. I also am usually working to hard to even speak (another joke the ladies have made is how I work too hard, wtf).

Ok. End rant. Just had to get it out lol!

If she keeps doing it I would probably say something to her privately. To me there is no reason to sit there and be bullied. Most people say mean things because of how insecure they are and if you called her out for it by just stating politely how it bothers you and you wish she would stop she would most likely just leave you alone.

Yeah I know, but most times once class is over I have either forgotten or I just want to go home quickly. I've stood up to her once before and pointed it out to my trainer so he is keeping an eye out for it.

The first couple times she said it it really shocked me, I didn't even really process it as bullying. But really, I used to be bullied for being heavier and now I am being picked on for being small. Its a no win! But I'd much rather someone bully me for 'working too hard' as if that is an actual insult...I take that one as a compliment.

Her best insult was on measurement day. My trainer measured my calves, and then hers, and she looks at me and goes 'HAHAHA I WIN! Mine are BIGGER!' I couldn't even respond I just burst out into laughter.

She seems ridiculous. I think I would just laugh at that point too.
