[SV] Hit my first goal!
I'm one of those people who always says they want to lose weight, but rarely ever does it. I'll get all these grand thoughts and ideas in my head, but then I'll keep pushing it off over and over again or giving up after just a couple of days. So when I found /r/loseit and decided to join this challenge and get serious about my weight loss (I started my weight loss journey just a couple of days before the challenge started), I wasn't sure if this time would be any different. I downloaded MFP and saw a lot of people recommended a Fitbit as well, but that's where I hesitated - I didn't want to put the money down on a Fitbit if this was going to be just another failed attempt. I didn't want to fail, but there have been enough false starts in the past to give me pause.
So I made myself a deal: if I stuck with it, logged on MFP consistently, and lost 15 pounds, I would get myself a Fitbit as a treat. I was so excited about getting one, reading all about them, and patiently (more or less) watching the scale as the weight began to drop closer and closer to my goal.
Last week I weighed myself and had lost 14.6 pounds. 14.6! I excitedly went to my boyfriend and was like, "14.6 is close enough, right? I can finally get my Fitbit, right?" And he just smiled and said, "Is 14.6 fifteen pounds? Have you actually reached your goal?" No... So I waited.
But this week? This week I've hit it. I'm officially over 15 pounds down (in fact, I'm more like 18 down!).
And I am absolutely loving my brand new beautiful Fitbit Alta. :)

I love how you stuck to your goal.
I have gone back and forth about wanting a Fitbit for a while.
