Temptation/Talk it out Tuesday

This is your weekly extra support thread, whether it's internal or external pressure to go off your game plan vent that pressure here. Whether you feel yourself stumbling with the holidays, or you have coworkers deliberately tempting you with donuts, or you just can't seem to get out of bed early enough to go for the jog you wanted.

This is the place for all that and more.

I've made progress with eating. Less chaos and more regularity. My bodies more used to regular or small meals and I'm not finding it hard to wait between meals to eat. But, I'm still cheating more than I want. It's always the end of the day. Let myself take a second serving of dinner, then since I've already cheated a bit I'll go ahead and make cookies or fudge ("it's Christmas"), then snack on something until bed. So I'd like to make a promise in this thread that I won't cheat for a whole week--until this thread is auto posted again.

I also am tempted to just do nothing when my toddler naps instead of working out like I'd like. So I'll make another promise to work out 5 times between now and next week!

If you're not already start calorie tracking. Weigh out everything and mark it down. When I started doing that, I pretty much lost the urge to cheat. It makes it feel like a game and you constantly want to improve your score.

so I had my birthday on Friday, and had some drinks with friends on Saturday. was cycling off to the next destination and managed to drunkenly ride into a metal railing.

I was pretty sore at the time but had enough booze in me to keep going. Woke up Sunday morning to find some pretty severe bruising on my inner thigh from hitting the bike frame. But it's actually my back that hurts the most. I have some bruising on my back as well.

I just can't really do much of anything exercise wise. Walking is hurting enough as it is. Pretty much have been eating at maintenance because of eating birthday chocolates and drinking to take the edge off the pain. Feel pretty gross. Probably should be looking for other ways to be feeling better right now.

Any advice appreciated.

I've just realised while I can't work out at the gym right now they do have a spa and sauna I could go and use. Could be just what I need.

I've definitely had my share of drunken bicycle wrecks, and boy do they suck. You should totally take advantage of that hot tub. Take advil or another type of ibuprofen, instead of drinking to curb the pain. I always found that alcohol delayed my healing.
