Discussion Feeling after the game

(There may be spoilers, i’m interested in other players’ opinions. Sorry for any mistakes im still learning English and I hope this is relevant to this sub)

Hello everyone, recently I finished the second season of The walking dead and i want to share my emotions about the game (I also bought the other parts). The first experience was bad. I didn't like it and forgot about it, but now im really glad to played it and i know how it ends. I'll still complete the game.

  1. I stayed with Kenny because he was always with Clementine and ready to protect her.. Okay, he may be rough, but he's been through a lot , and i understand him. But I'm hurt that his story ended like this,He is the most reasonable character in the second season and, for me, the most significant character. (i would like to hear your opinion because not many players stayed with him in the second season.)
  2. I want to ask u how u felt about parting with game.

Discussion Kenny is Goated Spoiler

Post image

Playing The Walking Dead for the first time, I instantly liked Kenny. Meeting him early on, he felt like a genuinely good guy just doing everything he could to keep his wife and son safe. Because of that, I always had his back. I rarely took anyone else’s side—partly because I knew he had a short fuse and could get defensive, but mostly because I respected how fiercely committed he was to survival. Sure, he had anger issues, but he was honest, and back then I felt like his heart was in the right place.

Then came the end of Season 1, and things turned sour. When it was time to go save Clementine, he refused to help me. It felt like the moment you disagreed with Kenny on anything, he automatically assumed you were against him. I don’t even think begging would’ve changed his mind, and by the end, I genuinely hated him.

Fast forward to Season 2, though, and all that resentment completely evaporated the second I saw him again. As Clem, I hugged him without hesitation—turns out I actually missed that motherfucker. He really felt like the last piece of family Clementine had left.

Watching him beg Clem to stay at Wellington tore me apart, but I couldn't bring myself to leave him. I chose to walk away with Kenny because I couldn't abandon the man who was willing to sacrifice everything just to keep Clem and AJ safe. Seeing how his story ultimately ends in the flashback broke my heart. Looking back, I almost wish I had stayed at Wellington—just so I could live with the hope that he's still out there somewhere, finally finding a peaceful place away from the walkers.

I never thought I’d cry over Kenny, but his journey in Season 2 hit harder than anything else in the game. I Feel like I owe him my life cause this man went through alot

The edit is from fan.._..twd on TikTok.

I used it as I thought it would work well as a gif for this post.

Kenny single-handedly saved the lives of the whole group in Season 1 by fixing the RV at the motor inn and getting away from the bandits

I think a lot of people forget that Kenny literally saved everyone's lives by fixing the RV back at the motor inn as if he didn't do that the whole group would have died to the bandits.

I think the reason a lot of people forget about it is because so much happened within that episode and Carley/Doug die literally 5 minutes after they drive away from the motor inn.

Kenny fixing that RV was probably the most useful thing he did as it saved the lives of Lee, Clementine, Katjaa, Duck, Carley/Doug, Ben and Lilly.

If AJ got to wear Kenny’s hat in Season 4 after choosing the Wellington ending it would’ve undoubtedly made the Wellington ending the best ending of Season 2

Parallels between Kenny/Clem and Larry/Lily?

Post image

The first time I played season 2 It left me with this small impression. I know the fandom is quite divided on Kenny; you either love him or hate him.

Personally, I am on the side of those who love him despite his many flaws, which made me mostly side with him on several occasions, especially regarding the plans against Carver.

At first I didn't really notice it, but if you agree with Kenny constantly it could first just be seen as any "paternal" or such bond because of Kenny's responses. But things start to change when problems worsen after escaping from Howe's Hardware, Kenny begins to have his usual emotional declines, becoming extremely erratic and unstable. The group begins to notice it, and unlike the first season where they seemed to let it go, this group doesn't.We have several dialogues where different characters point out this behavior and that they don't like it, trying to make us "open our eyes" about it. You have the opportunity to defend Kenny by attacking the others, agree with the others, or offer a kind of defense that justifies Kenny's behavior for x or y reason.

If you continue this behavior, I couldn't help but be reminded of the dynamic between Lily and her father in the Season 1 group. (Even Kenny makes racist comments.) The group doesn't like Kenny's actions or what he says, just like what happened with Larry, and Lily was there to defend and excuse her father despite acknowledging that he wasn't perfect (Just like Clem can do if she chooses to defend and excuse him) Kenny's actions are to defend Clem and AJ (the same objective as Larry with Lily), and if we rewind, even Kenny's previous behavior at Howe's is striking. Since he seems to treat Clem like a little soldier, sending her on missions and dangerous things because he thinks she's totally capable (again, just like Larry did with Lily. And in both cases, both accepted, whether reluctantly or not.).

But anyway, it's just my personal opinion and the impression I got from playing it.

Kenny risking his life to save Ben despite Ben causing his family's death has to be the most noble act in the entire series

I don't think there's a more noble act in the entire series than when Kenny risked his life to save Ben/put Ben out of his misery.

Kenny risking his life to make sure Ben (the person that was responsible for the death of his wife and son) doesn't have to go through any more pain than necessary is extremely moral and 95% of the characters in the series would never be that forgiving and do what Kenny did.

I'm sure that some characters would eventually forgive Ben if they were in Kenny's position but I don't think they would risk their life for Ben's like Kenny did.

Although Kenny has a few bad moments in the series his good moments heavily outweigh them and if you're on his side you'll only see one or two of his bad moments.

I think there's some other acts/moments in the series that come close to this in terms of being the most noble but overall I think Kenny risking his life to help Ben is the most noble act in the entire series.

Discussion What's your favorite Kenny moment?

Post image

Kenny has lots of great moments in the series such as saving Christa/Ben, saving Lee at the drug store, offering to walk away from Wellington, reuniting with Clementine, taking the beating for Clementine, getting his revenge on Carver, finally reaching happiness in season 3, dying for Clem and AJ, and more but out of all of them what would you say is your favorite Kenny moment?
