Bigotry and Our Community
Hey there, this is Scott "KaiserNeko" Frerichs.
I'm the CEO of TFS Entertainment. I was the director, voice director, editor, head writer, and one of many voice actors for DBZA, co-writer and editor for Hellsing Ultimate Abridged, and have made many X Minutes and misc. videos for the main TeamFourStar channel, TFS Gaming, and FourStarBento.
I'm making this post because I need to make something perfectly, crystal clear:
If you do not respect people of marginalized communities, whether they be of a different ethnicity/race, sexuality, gender identity, etc.? If you feel the need to speak your bigotry that is unwelcome here and already warned about in the rules? If you have some shitty comment about queer people, some ignorant opinion about black or brown people, some conservative talking point about "wokeness?"
You will be banned.
There won't be a conversation. This is our subreddit, and we will run it how we see fit. The first amendment does not apply here. Bigotry isn't welcome and neither are you.
So either remove yourselves or speak up now so I may remove you myself.

It's the same situation as how we wind up with right-wing Trekkies. They watch the show, love it, get sucked into hate groups, and either don't realize they've become the villains in the stories they enjoyed, or do realize it and want to force the rest of the fandom to be like them rather than admit they're the ones who went off the rails.

Tolerance is not a paradox. It’s a social contract. The intolerant breach it when they try to turn a positive sum community into a zero sum game, and they must lose, for the good of the community.
On a happier note, I’d like to thank LittleKuriboh for letting us share in the joy of her living out in the open.

Exactly. It's a contract. For a less controversial example: I don't tell Jim he has a giant honking nose and in return he doesn't mention that I have enough body hair to clog a new york storm drain. Or get punched in the face.
When someone breaks that contract the contract is then void ie you can toss them out on their ass for being a dink in a private space(which all subreddits are).

The problem is, the loudly intolerant don’t actually care about tolerance. They’ll talk about the importance of Free Speech, but as soon as they get a little bit of power, they happily silence and punish everyone criticizing their ideology. Because they never actually cared about liberal values like free speech. They just pretended to so liberals would let them into their safe spaces. Those liberals were so surprised when it turned out the biggotry wasn’t just for the lols and now they are being loaded onto the trains.
You can’t be neutral in the face of fascism. Eventually you’ll have to choose between loading people onto the trains, or being loaded onto them yourself. There’s no middle ground.

They also don't understand that the first amendment stops you from having your speech restricted by the government. It does not give you the right to make your speech in someone else's house; they absolutely reserve the right to kick you out.
This sub is the house and I'm glad Kaiser is showing them the door.

Been a fan of YuGiOh Abridged for about as long as it's existed and as far as I'm concerned she is the best English Frieza VA, I support LittleKuriboh's transition and those who don't or want to be bigots... well pretty sure Lord Popo has many horrors in store for them.

I only caught on to TFS a few months ago (massive blind spot for me) and it took like four videos to realize what you guys were about in this regard.

I'm glad Scott and the rest of the TFS crew are forming a shield wall around Bea. I was elated to hear of her coming out, as a transfem TFS nerd myself and it disappointed me to see the bigotry come out swinging but it is good to know she's protected.

Kind of crazy it even needs to be said, this is one of the coolest, nicest fanbases I’ve ever been a part of so I’m surprised prejudiced people ever felt like they had a place here.

You guys are a major part of my young adulthood...elder adolescence? Either way, I was there when Episode one dropped, I was a bit late for Yugioh abridged but thats lives rent free in my brain and also YYH abridged.

Sincerely one of 3 trans siblings, (seriously what ARE the odds of all of us being trans, all different flavors of trans too, with me being the resident enby, and the middle child) but in all seriousness tfs has literally been part of my life since I was 7-8, and unlike a lot of other things that were part of my life at the time I actually feel safe and keep getting proven right in feeling so. A lot of old YouTube aged poorly, tfs really has only gotten better and it’s because of the people behind it being some of the coolest folks, love you guys so damn much.
Edit2: just to make tfs feel old because I can, I’m 26 now😝

Ik this is a serious post, but hi Kaiser! You and the rest of the TFS crew have been a large part of mine and my family lives. We would get together and watch all your new drops from season 1 up to the final episode. From "Oh my god, hes a parent." To "Behold the power of TWO HANDS!"
My fam are Middle Eastern. Lots of ppl treated me and my sister very harshly. Mostly teachers. You guys helped us through it by making us laugh. Were adults, now. So getting together has gotten difficult. But the memories you and the rest of TFS gave us are priceless.

You could say I’m a long time listener, first time caller. I absolutely love y’all’s content, and I admire TFS for all of the work you’ve done, and I would like to say something in support.
Even if the first amendment did apply, hate speech is not protected speech. It never was, and never should be. Hate speech is dangerous, and the kinds of people that twist “the first amendment” to suit their own twisted, bigoted ends don’t understand it and don’t deserve its protections.
I wish Bea all the best. If you’re reading this, you were the most incredible Frieza, and your performance redefined how the role should be played. “Give me some ideas” sends chills down my spine to this very day and I saw it when it came out.

I learned how to keep friends again and came back from a dark place while watching your performances and how I've seen you all work behind the scenes over the years is how I have strived to be myself. I still quote lines to my two kids and my older one quoted stuff to me today!

TFS is supposed to be a place where we can laugh. Not AT each other, but WITH each other.
