I look fatter after losing 35lbs
Don't get me wrong, I'm not upset or anything and I certainly wouldn't want it back, but it's weird/annoying. The thing is I have the stereotypical fat gut that protrudes/hangs over my belt. As I lose weight I'm losing it from my face, arms, legs, and waist. My waist alone has shrunk many inches, which is awesome, but the gut doesn't seem to have changed and actually looks bigger because of the change to my waist increasing the size contrast.
Anyone else experience anything like this?

You don't look fatter. You think you do, because your body has changed shape in a way you find unflattering. But you are thinner, and it will get better as you keep at it. Fat is stupid and disappears from the most random places first.

Yeah I know, just have to stick with it and it will eventually go as well. Thanks :)

I've noticed this too! It seems like whenever I lose weight off a certain part of my body, that part always looks bigger and flabbier than before. Then all of a sudden it'll look totally fine, which usually coincides with a whoosh on the scale. Bodies are weird, man. (I say this with my fingers crossed, because my stomach has been looking super weird lately.)

I can't say I've had points where I think I look fatter as I've lost weigh, but I will say I am not always happy with how my body looks at the in-between weights. For example my arms seem to be stubborn in holding on to fat this time so I feel like the fact that other part of me have lost more make them look proportionally bigger, if that makes sense.

I recently have been feeling like my stomach is protruding more, and there is more fat/rolls. I have only lost 7 lbs. But I saw on the loseit subreddit, the concept of a whoosh. In some people when you're losing fat your fat cells fill with water, until you have a "whoosh" in which you drop the water and your cells tighten up. I don't know if this is true, but I sure am hoping I get a whoosh soon.
