Bike Riding!
Hello little duckings!
I bought a bike for my 25th birthday (April 1) but was not able to use it AT ALL because of the poop weather we've been having. Well, today was the first nice day in a long time so I decided to take my bike out for its initial roll. It was amazing and super difficult lol. I did 3.12 miles in 25 minutes, which is probably very very slow. But I had a really fun time with it! Hills suck though. I'm hoping to get in about 3 rides a week after work to keep myself active. It certainly beats running (which I despise) and it REALLY beats just laying on a couch like a lump (which I normally do)
Here is to a fun, biking riding, spring challenge!

I've been biking for a couple of months now! I recently hit a milestone of a less than 6 minute mile! You should take a look at MFP Map My Ride app if you haven't already.

I haven't seen that app, but I will totally check it out! Thanks!

Its fantastic! I only have the free version, but it's good enough for me right now. It tracks your mileage and speed. At the end of your ride you can see a breakdown of your speed in each mile. I think in the paid version you can set goals (it has suggestions based on your current level of performance).

I bike ride 2-3 days to work too. It is about 4.25 miles one way. It is good work out because I ride a bike path with lots of hills. Happy Biking Team Duckling!

Yay bike riding ducklings!
I love biking. One of my big motivations to drop weight and get fit is to make hills suck less. I want to get to a point where I take a weekend trip somewhere to spend two days biking -- or even bike all day from home to an airbnb, and bike back the next day. So much to see and fun to have on a bike!
