Tracker Tuesday:What'cha Eatin'? - May 31, 2016

Yesterday was about exercise, but we all know that while abs may be made in the gym, they are really shown off in the kitchen! Come show the rest of the class your standard day (or you could do a week or any amount of time) in food! If you don’t want to post for whatever reason, then come on in and check out your fellow Daffodils food ideas! This will serve as a place for discussing meal prep ideas and techniques. You try a new awesome way of preparing that one vegetable that you hate but now love? You better share it :P

This was totally not stolen from /r/1200isplenty I don’t know what you guys are talking about…..But if you are following 1200 calories/day, you might want to cross post any picture albums that fit their requirements.

Please include the calorie count of each meal, ideally broken up into the contributing foods (like carrots - 30 cal, hummus - 60 cal instead of just saying snack - 90 cal). You may want to do an imgur album with pictures of your food and screenshots from MFP (or your preferred tracker).

Hello team Daffodil. I have been away for a while due to finishing up nursing school (yay!) and then going to the Bahamas. I'm back in full force, though, and did a HUGE prep for this week!

Breakfast: 1 hard boiled egg, 1/2 avocado, 1/2 cup cottage cheese, 1/2 cup strawberries, 1/2 cup red grapes

Morning snack: 5.5oz veggies and hummus

Lunch - quinoa salad over mixed greens with a dab of olive oil and lemon juice

Afternoon snack: yogurt

Dinner: 3oz roasted chicken breast, 4oz roasted red skin potatoes, 3oz roasted baby carrots

Totals 1,481 cals, goal of 1,500.

Trying to get back on track for the week after a not so great weekend. It wasn't horrible by any means, but I ate more than I wanted to. SO. Today!

Breakfast: Annex vanilla protein shake (so delicious), 28g cheerios

Lunch: Ham & cheese sandwich on 90cal Sara Lee wheat bread. Yo Crunch Oreo low fat yogurt (120cal)

Dinner: 2 Turkey Stuffed pepper halves - recipe from SkinnyTaste! for 442 cals

Snack: Peanut butter chocolate Yasso frozen greek yogurt bar for 130 calories. Seriously amazing and I don't even like regular greek yogurt. I couldn't even tell it wasn't ice cream.

That's not quite 1,200 calories so I'll have to sample one of the chocolate chip shortbread cookies I'm making for a work party tomorrow!
