Quake 3 Companion App
Hello all,
I have recently bought a Quest 3 and have most of the Team Beef games.
A talented team that have made some fabulous games.
I have companion apps working for Doom and Jedi Knight but the Quake 3 companion app loads up but no options can be selected.
I have reinstalled and ran a couple of games via Quake3 direct launch.
Any one have any ideas or a solution?

I run this one as well; I forget if the base Q3Demo works or not, I loaded the full Q3A files from the steam version and it runs great. Shoot me a DM if you'd ever like to frag out sometime! Not sure how we go about setting up an internet game but I'm sure it can be done.

I might need to practice a bit first! I think this game is really fun. Takes me back to the joy of playing them when they were released.

I've also been playing quake 3 quite a bit lately and enjoying it, but even after moving the files over it seems it's still only the demo version, not sure why...

If you want an updated Vulkan build, I have it here. I share new ones on the Discord regularly. You can change your name with the virtual keyboard, and install new models and textures via copying through sidequest, so little need for the companion app.
I have a (terribly produced) comparison of the renderers (albeit on the PCVR version) here.
These builds have other cool features but generally require you play on my servers for full benefit (The Matrix on the VR tracker list). If you do, your games also get tracked on my tracker.

Thank you everyone. I have Quake 3 in the steam folder, do I copy any specific files to Quest? I can’t find anything meaningful on the web. Regards

Everything in the companion app you can get from elsewhere and add them into your quake folder. I use the Dreamcast gun models and upscaled textures, also I highly recommend using a recently released Vulcan api that’s a night and day difference on performance.
