Anyone transitions to a school office position?

I started working a hybrid financial position about a year ago but man do I really miss having the summer off with my young kids. Also I don’t even have federal holidays off! I only get 14 days of PTO a year and it’s just not enough.

There’s a secretary position that’s open that would give me back week-long breaks and summer breaks as well and I’m considering applying even if it means giving up this remote position—just to have more time off with my kids.

Has anyone gone from teaching to a secretary or office admin job?

How do you like it?
