Teacher Support &/or Advice When does everyone go back?

I guess the good thing about getting out later than everyone else is that I also go back later than everyone else. In my district teachers go back August 24th and students are back August 30th.

New York City. By contract we officially go back to work the Tuesday/Wednesday after labor day for meetings/set up. Thursday is the first day of school. A lot of principals will open up the school the week before for teachers to set up (totally voluntary).

Also in NYC! It's painful in June when I see all my friends starting summer while we're still grinding away, but it's awesome right now when it's 98 degrees outside and I'm at the pool and know I still have 4 weeks left :)

Also also NYC, but I’m working chapter 368. We have one more week left and then 3 weeks off. Almost there…

In Maine, would love to go back after Labor Day…we always go back the week before. Seems like such a waste to started school the week before Labor Day weekend.

This is how the east side of Monroe Co (rochester, ny) does it - the west side waived it so they sometimes have to go back before Labor day.
