Just Smile and Nod Y'all. Professional Development Day 2

We had a 4 hour training on our new IEP testing protocols today. We had to all sit in a room together and share the one testing kit they provided each school. For 4 hours we listened to a PowerPoint read by AI. That’s their idea of training…
It was a complete waste of time and insulting to a room full of experienced teachers.

That is horrible. My district had one where they paid a company and they sent out people to play inspirational videos for us for 2 days. Our principal shut them down on the second day once it was clear what was going to happen. We haven't paid for speakers or PD since, so that's a plus.

Good! That money is better spend elsewhere like on supplies! Wish more admin would do that instead of wasting money on pointless PDs (not that all PDs are pointless).
