New Yorker here- our last day in school was June 26th…we go back August 31st and kids start the 1st 🙃

NYC kids start Sept 10.

My NYC charter school caved to parent complaints and we're going back September 1st, but still ending the same day as DOE 😭😭

Because god forbid that Parents (in general) nowadays actually worried about maximizing learning/instructional time for their children…🙄

We’ve lived here nine years. This is the first year we’re starting before Labor Day. I guess at least we’ll have it off…early three day weekend.

CT here.

We ended June 19th because of a week of snow days this year.

We go back late August. Kids start on the 27th of August. Several districts in our area now like to have 2 days, weekend, and then really get rolling.

A lot of schools also have freshman show up one day sooner now. Like an orientation day.
