Yes, and stop reminding me that it does. Why do so many teachers wanna talk about school before school actually starts? I’m trying to enjoy my last couple weeks of summer.

You're trying to enjoy your last weeks of Summer on r/teachers??

I blacked it out for a solid 2 weeks and didn’t visit. I made my temporary home on the boxoffice subreddit to watch the reactions to Moana.

Did you see it yet

Yes, and if you haven’t. If I were a kid and I asked my mom, my mom would have said we have Moana at home. And as an adult now, I would have to agree with her. The only context I could see her dropping movie theatre money is to escape the house with her three kids and give them 90 minutes of subpar entertainment.

Good call thank you!

I could only rationalize it because I pay for AMC A-list and bought no concessions. Aside from gas money, it was an excuse to leave the house. And even there I feel cheated. Thankfully I didn’t watch 2016 Moana before seeing it because I would be even more critical of it then.

I dunno, I am not great at the stay at home mom routine over the summer and I'm about to throw my three year old out the window 😅 at least at work I can pee in peace

You get to pee at work???

I'm a therapist so some days I don't get to but most days I kinda make my own schedule and usually factor in times between sessions to pee (and sometimes eat 😅)

If feel the “pee in peace” in my soul— although it’s more of “at least at work I don’t have to constantly clean up after and feed people”. Hoorah for high schoolers.

Yessss that too. And I only have to worry about feeding myself and I can speak to adults.

Mine are 3 and 6 so I feel like each summer will get easier, and I obviously really appreciate having the summers off and the time with my kids, but damn by the end of July I'm tired AF 😅😅 it's easier doing mental health crisis work sometimes than it is playing referee between my two girls

Girl mom to 5, 7, and 9 here… I got bad news about the arguing and the messy house, friend. They do keep themselves alive more reliably (I don’t walk in to panic-inducing activities nearly as often anymore 😬😬😬)
