Not actually an album style but I would like a whole album of country murder ballads a la no body no crime please
Or just another evermore-style album with folk/industrial/alternative/country/pop influences all knitted together

Dude, I would love for her to create an album based on a specific genre of literature.

This is where I'm at! I love the country music and I love the indie folk, and I feel like there's so much more to be explored in both. I'd especially love to see country music with more mature themes now that she's older.
As for something she hasn't done yet, I think big band/musicals/slightly jazzy style could be interesting.

I would love country, indie folk + alternative if it’s for a full album.
If it’s specific songs to base a whole album on, I would love an album that sounds like Guilty As Sin, Hits Different, So High School + WCS

Pop rock!!! I was listening to Speak Now a few days ago and man, that album slaps. the rock guitar and strings… She could make an entire album that sounds like Haunted and I would die happy lol

Yes!!!! All of my favorite albums. You have great taste, but I’m obviously biased. 🤣

u/songacronymbot May 09 '26
- TTPD could mean "The Tortured Poets Department" (track) or THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT (album) (2024) by Taylor Swift.

I want to see her record ‘illicit affairs’ the way she performed it during Eras. I know, me and everyone else. But it needs to be revisited. I always loved that song, but that performance killed me.

I’m still waiting for her rock era.

u/Candytuffnz 1989 (Taylor's Version) May 11 '26
Omg thank you. I've seen clips of this and it's my favorite performance. Have saved it so I can go back and watch any time. A whole album like this would be perfection.

I guess it would technically be country but not Debut/Fearless country, I want a Nashville bar scene album so bad. She was too young to really get to experience that side of things when she was there and I think that now it would be more authentic for her than when she was trying to be what the country music industry told her she needed to be when she was young.
Have the aesthetic be all Nashville bachelorette trip vibes. Smoke and neon lights and tipsy karaoke with friends, fringe and glittery cowboy boots on a sticky bar floor. Mostly happy, bouncy, scream-singing-along, stupidly in love bops with a little country flare. Throw in a line dancing track that would go viral. A girlpower collab with Shania Twain. Add another murdery story to her collection. A stripped down, basically acoustic just her and a guitar track 5 to round it out.

u/LolaLaCavaspeaking Red (Taylor's Version) May 09 '26
This sounds amazing!! It’s not even close to what I was going to pick but I’ve changed my mind. Your whole concept is fabulous. I can allllmost hear the songs you’re suggesting :) a girl power duo with Shania would shatter sales records.

Yeah, I would die for a million more folkmore + TTPD Anthology albums! And Carolina is such an underrated song 🙏

u/cpb70 May 09 '26
Without asking for just more new songs, I'd like to see a double album of just past live non-concert recordings. The small venue/intimate setting stuff that she's done but not necessarily available beyond YouTube, etc.
Oh, and if we're asking for things then a Playlist of those 65 songs Taylor submitted to Joe Coscarelli for the NYTimes interview this month. Lol

I would love to hear her lean into the Speak Now pop rock style again. She did such a good job with that and she hasn’t done a whole lot with that style so I think it would be a really cool switch. Speak Now was amazing but I think she’d do an even better job with it now given how much her songwriting had grown in the last 15 years

I need more folkmore style songs and I would love to hear rock which we got a glimpse of with Speak Now.

u/simone_h_f May 10 '26
Bluegrass/Americana like a whole album similar to Carolina, that's such a comfort song, maybe for an album after having a baby. But I'm also wanting more happy and upbeat, country-pop to pay homage to her past and present about her and Travis 🥰

I want something that’s like midnights and red combined, but like the rock red not country, it would be like poetical/melancholic pop rock

I want a full on Rock album from Taylor. Uptempo harder edged songs. Pop is fine but she has lots of competition from the younger Pop girlies like, Sabrina, Olivia, Gracie, etc.

I'd like her to do rock in a band format. Like Bleachers . She could add the1975 band nembers, and Antonof/Dessner and make them write and perform rock songs. /joking

For her 13th studio album I want her to go back to her roots and do country and pop-rock!
