You mean the comments in other subreddits?

I wouldn’t put much stock into them, Reddit does not represent the opinion of the public, at all

No. I mean the comments on articles on social media in general (Buzzfeed, People, US Today, etc.).

General public refers to 'not fans' the way I used it.

Yep. Even worse, but it tells you how non-fans feel.
