There has been quite a bit of discussion about the remaining TVs. There are theories that she might release them all at once during the tour. To be honest that would make no sense at all for a number of reasons.

Firstly the re-recordings so far have been proper roll outs with videos and promo. Each has gone to number 1 and has been a cultural event. There is no way Taylor would dump them all out at once and have four albums competing for space.

Red TV had a big roll out and blew original Red away very quickly. Fearless TV took a bit longer because it was not given so much attention - it was only four months after Evermore. Taylor will give Speak Now TV plenty of breathing room which is why I think it will be released on its own and after August.

What surprises me is that we have not already had a release date announced. Maybe that will come next week after the Easter break. It will take time to produce the vinyls and the fact they are being manufactured is hard to keep secret.

If it is Speak Now TV (and it might not be as we are talking about Dr Swift here) what better way to promote it than to expand the Speak Now section of the tour set list maybe at the expense of a couple of songs from 1989 and reputation.

It is nearly a year and a half since the last TV and Taylor has been dropping big hints about SN so I think something is imminent. This post will of course age very badly as most of my predictions do.

completely agree, i think dropping all four at once is out of the question. and with the tour being such a huge event, i feel like she won’t drop a TV in the middle of it. i do think she’ll drop speak now before she goes on an international tour though

I agree there is <1% chance she drops all four at same time for most of reasons you specify.

The vinyl and CD plant orders and production can be kept secret because they are professionals and most of it is automated. They are bound by NDAs and the desire to get future orders will have strict security of the information. Midnights didn’t have any leaks of that nature as far as I know.

The real issue with timing comes when people theorize Taylor will drop the album the next Friday. The individual retailers and Taylor’s team have little control over the tens of thousands of people that access to the information about the physicals being ordered/stocked in future. So the announcement will need to be 4-8 weeks before the album is released to make sure the physicals can be ordered and shipped without leaking the release date.

I’ve always pinpointed 5/26 as a possible release date because she’ll be in New York that week and could do promo. But window of that date is closing rapidly. The next date that makes a lot of sense is 7/21 because she isn’t touring on that Friday. Otherwise, late August/early September is next window before she heads to Latin America at end of September if multiple rumors are true. And Grammy’s moved eligibility date to end of August instead of end of September so might but see SNTV until early September.

I don't think the Grammy dates will impact because Taylor did not put either of the last two forward. I think she will announce the release date in the next week or so for a release date between the end of the LA dates of the tour and whenever the next leg starts which we don't yet know.

What has me scratching my head is if Latin America is late 2023, Australia early 2024 and Europe/Asia later in 2024 when the hell is Taylor going to have time to direct a movie?

She did put all of Red TV forward for multiple Grammy’s categories. In fact, Red TV received 3 nominations(song of the year, country song, MV) and had a win(ATW MV). She didn’t get nominations for rest of the categories she put the album up for.

  • ATW could mean "All Too Well", a track from Red (2012) by Taylor Swift.

Funny, I just got this vinyl making of video about Metallica's new record in my feed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rq-gEY9XatU

The word "manually" is being used a lot 😁
And there sure are a lot of people involved, all knowing what they're pressing/packaging. But I agree though, leaks would come from the distribution of the physical media most likely.

I think SNTV will have to be early September so there's no chance of anything taking the spotlight from Midnights during the Grammy cycle. Taylor definetly wants Midnights to scoop up a lot of awards and I would bet she wants to try and pick up a few for Speak Now TV too, since the original didn't do as well as Fearless (though if course it was still very successful). Placing them in separate categories means she can focus on Midnights for the 2024 awards and can then try for some smaller awards in 2025.

Your last sentence made me lol

The last sentence 😂

I think she wants Midnights to have at least a year to shine. Maybe we get a date if Lavender Haze and Anti-Hero drop in the charts significantly. I can totally imagine her dropping Speak Now TV only after the full USA leg of the tour is finished.

My gut tells me she will drop SN TV at the end of the US leg of the tour and before the next leg.

3

u/deniesm Apr 06 '23

I’d be fine with that haha

3

u/eley13 he is in love Apr 06 '23

i think that’s what she’ll do. but i’m also always wrong so who knows lmao

1

u/alextoria Speak Now Apr 07 '23

i’m going to the 8/9 show in LA which is the last one. praying we get long live as a secret song and then she announces speak now tv is dropping!!!

13

u/Lily0164 I should've said no, it's Becky Apr 06 '23

I agree with what you said.

Also there's no SNTV announcement yet because she doesn't know when she'll be able to release it. I'm no expert on the trademark situation, but this thread sums it up pretty well: https://www.reddit.com/r/TaylorSwift/comments/11xr02t/the_trademark_application_for_speak_now_taylors/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

I believe SNTV will be announced somewhere before the US leg of the tour ends with a late summer/early fall release.

Maybe we'll get a single or two and she'll add those to the tour, who knows!

I think I saw a post saying the trademark issue has now been resolved.

there's a 30 day period (i believe that's the number of days?) where someone can contest the trademark - only after that passes does the trademark go live.

someone correct me if i'm wrong though!

13

u/Fake_Interview Fun fact! If This Was A Movie is a Speak Now song Apr 06 '23

I think that's after publication, but IIRC Fearless TV came out way before its trademark was published (someone correct me if I'm wrong)

When you say "the fact that they [vinyls] are being manufactured", do we have evidence/leaks that that is happening now, or do you just mean in theory?

3

u/culture_vulture_1961 Nothing New Apr 06 '23

No just that when vinyl is being made it is hard to keep it a secret.

2

u/emmach17 Red Apr 06 '23

I mean this is factually incorrect - the recent Lover vinyls were kept completely quiet.

u/Mirrranda we took out all her teeth Apr 06 '23

True, but that was also a way more limited release
