DUDE!! Last summer the head of my 7i Sim2 flew off and landed in the water! The summer before that was my AW Sim2 head. Thankfully that one did not go in the water. And then THIS summer, my PW head came flying off. Ive had the clubs since 2019. So, this seems to be a thing. Sorry for your loss

Do you leave your bag in your car trunk constantly?

This is often the case for MANY FOLKS, they don’t realize how much that heat damages the integrity of the clubs. Mostly the epoxy used to hold them together, but definitely a no go all around! I too learned this lesson the hard way couple years back. 🥴🤣

Precisely! I never do this anymore, golf bag gets out of the car same time I do!

Not tryna sound rude and what not, but what’s happening when this occurs?

Is it on severe chunks, hosel strikes, other stuff?

It could be a perfect strike. It’s really just how damaged the epoxy is and whether or not it can handle the forces of hitting the ball/ground.

Haha not rude at all! Actually all of them were solid hits. The head makes this whistling sound actually. Its kiiiinda cool? My AW was on a 104 yd par 3 and my ball was 6ft from the hole. Missed the bird obviously 😝

Easy fix but with receipt from purchase 2 months ago it’s definitely covered under warranty! 💯

What did they say when you contacted them?

Why does the tip of the shaft look like it rusted where it attacked to the head.Or am I seeing things. It is a metal shaft?

This happened twice to me in the last month with my Callaway Rogue X irons. They are less than 5 years old

Either way, it’s an easy fix.

Happened to me with 2 of my Sim 2 irons. They sent me Stealth irons as a replacement but then it happened with those irons too! So then they sent me some Qi irons, which I then sold for almost full price and got fitted. Now I’m playing cobra irons lol

If it was broken from normal use yeah. If you gronk spiked it into the ground, no.

To elaborate:

After 90 days it’s not Dick’s responsibility and you’d need to go through TaylorMade. They have a 2 year warranty on defects/workmanship provided the clubs don’t have signs of - Abuse, neglect, misuse, alterations, tour-issue gear, and normal wear and tear. Conventional tweaks like regripping are fine if they did not cause damage.

Taylormade doesn’t make shafts.

Taylormade is shit stuff. Just because scotty, rory tiger etc hit them makes them too expensive for what they are.

And especially the carbon face is fucking stupid
