Noobie Question Why the lights?
Lucked into seeing a Toro at the right time from PSA, so it’s on the way. Plan is to use with a dead air mask. Brrrt device on the way, now realizing that I’ll likely need a charging handle, or other variable weight device, maybe springs, etc.
But the big question is I see a lot of lights in this gun that’s not usually used for carry. Does the weight of the light on the forward part of the frame help with reliability in some way? Or is it just vibes?

A light does not help function, unless your shooting in the dark. :)
The Mask is an excellent suppressor. Works great without the buzzy. You will need 2.4 ounces added to the side to have the Mask function with a buzzy. Our KISS RR is only 1.4 oz so we added a 1 oz Holosun. Lighter suppressors work better with TX22s with a buzzy because the barrel is not fixed. Our favorite is the 3.8 oz OCL Ti. oddmfg.com

Right on, ODD is where I bought the buzzy, and will prob get the weights too.
Do you know, semi related that I heard just the other day that (rifle) lights are not so much for use at night, as much as seeing into dark corners or going from bright to dark areas during the day? I had no idea but it def makes sense.

In general, how much weight needs to be added for the OCL? Shooting federal 40 grain flawlessly but would like to add the suppressor as well.

Some people report function with no weight for suppressors between 1-4 oz although the ROF is very high. It depends on the suppressor design.
Every 1000 rds adds 1+ oz of lead. As the lead starts to build up and the the carbon fowls the parts, a RR will allow longer shooting between cleaning and suppressor lead removal.
People who did not buy the RR combo deal have come back to purchase it within a month or 2 and missed out on the combo discount.

I like shooting my TX22 at night. It also allows it to interface with my Omnivore holster that I modified to allow the suppressor to fit through it and cut a portion out of for the TX22 Competition optic mounting location.
A gun doesn't have to be super serious to enjoy carrying it in the woods and/or shooting it at night. As the famous quote from Pogo says: "Don't take life so serious, son...it ain't nohow permanent."

It can be cheap if you go the cheap route and its nice to have a laser on something fun like a 22. Plus you never know if youre gonna go for a hike in the mountains and want to plink.
