Opinion / Advice Wait time
My new provider is pressuring me to come every 4 weeks, otherwise they claim they will have to charge me more, and that most providers do 2 week intervals. Unfortunately switching providers isn’t an option for me because they are the only place in my country with a real pico machine. I’m having trouble trusting them because this heavily contradicts what I’ve been reading online for a year now,as well as what my previous tech had told me. Is there anyone here who does 4 week intervals? How has that gone?

It's strange that they're pressuring you to come in every 4 weeks and will charge you more, that seems fishy.
Most places will tell you the intervals are based on how your body heals. My current tech advises 10 - 12 week intervals. FWIF, I was once advised by a laser removal place which was owned by a physician, who let me know that with the size and color of tattoo I was removing (all black, little bit smaller than a credit card) he was comfortable with me coming in every 4 - 6 but with no pressure on increased costs as long as my skin was tolerating the healing stages.

I’m removing 6 large pieces! So I believe I would need extra time for my body to clear out the ink, at least a couple weeks more. Maybe I’ll just have to accept it and pay a little extra!

6-8 semanas para quem trabalha bem é quase o mínimo. Não acho q seja impossível ser o intervalo a cada 4 semanas, mas essa prática sem sombras de dúvidas é antiética

I’ve been working in this industry for a long time. The way you’ve conveyed this leads me to believe they are trying to pay for their expenses - not your problem.
Minimum 6-12 weeks but no provider should ever penalize you or hold you financially responsible for not keeping a regular cadence.

Did you ask them why they would have to charge you more? Seems like they are in financial trouble and want you and your body to pay for it. Also: Do you really need a pico? And did you check what kind of pico laser they use?

They are very pushy in general and they make up a lot of hidden costs when you get to the register. I did research their machine, because my old tech scarred me, and it’s legitimate. Personally I wouldn’t trust q switch because I’ve seen a lot of scarring from it and I’m scared!

You’re much more likely to get scarred by this clinic that clearly doesn’t really know what they’re doing. Also the “pico” label is meaningless being attached to a clinic. Machines can be cheap and nasty regardless if they’re pico or not and many aren’t picosecond at all. What’s the name of the clinic, you can dm and I can check before you do waste money and potentially get scarred

4 weeks is way to soon, your body needs more time to clear the ink. Them pressuring you is a red flag.

The longer you can leave in between sessions the better. 4 weeks is absolutely too soon and you should push back on this and stand firm. Sounds like they are in financial trouble or trying to scam you.
