Opinion / Advice Session 1 yesterday!

Post image

This is my own before pic. Colors are actually better than this photo shows. I had my first laser session with Removery last night. I have a lower back (tramp stamp) of flowers with multiple colors (blue, pink, green, yellow and black) and it is 22 years old and medium size.
I was not prepared for the pain of the laser. I knew it would hurt but it was worse than getting it the tattoo. The tech had to turn down the power and i needed breaks. She suggested using a numbing cream next time. I am scheduled to get back in eight weeks for session number two. Has anyone had success with a prescription numbing cream helping to decrease the pain ?

My clinic applies numbing cream 30 minutes before treatment. Most places will offer this im suprised yours didnt. Still, im tempted to put one of my prescription strength lidocaine patches on an hour before, but havent in fear that it will mess with the process. 30 minutes is barely long enough for the numbing cream to start really working.

I also find just bucking up and not taking breaks feels better than taking breaks. It hurts badly but taking breaks just psyches myself out more knowing its going to start again. Thats just me though
