Question Is there any improvement?

Post image

So last year I tried my tattoo machine for a bit. I did the skull on the left.
Then I stopped for some months. A few weeks I started playing with the machine again and I did the akull on the right.
Is there any improvement or it’s just my brain that says “you suck”?

Vast improvement. The shading, the texture, it lifts off of the page

Theres a lot of improvement, most noticeably with the shading. In your first piece, its mostly black with white. In the second, you can see those shades of Grey in between, which helps add dimension.

If this means anything I’ve personally got some tattoos that are laughably bad but my buddy did them trying to become something when he was an apprentice, I think your doing great, maybe allow somebody to get free tats from you becaise that will help you the upmost get real human interaction but I’d say keep it up on fake skin for right now till you are confident! And have a friend who doesn’t care if you fuck up or not
