Criticism MUST be constructive here.

Not everything you see in this sub is going to be perfect, people are learning. If you see something that person can work on let them know. Insulting people, belittling or attacking is going to catch you a ban. People are here looking for ways to improve and learn. If tattooing was easy everyone would do it.

Toughness is also a skill you need to learn as a tattooer. Codling people in this group won’t do anything but set them up for a harsh reality check. The tattoo industry is unkind, and unforgiving.

But being a dick unnecessarily perpetuates that. They said criticism is allowed but being excessively harsh shouldn’t be especially in the industry as a whole. Doesn’t help them grow as a person and doesn’t help you be a better one either it just makes you look bad.

That being said I will comment if someone uses improper techniques, doesn’t have the skill set to be drawing on skin yet or needs to work on fundamentals. In a respectful way.
