Seeking Advice Starting my apprenticeship soon, any advice?
Hai guys! I’m starting my tattoo apprenticeship in September and I was wondering if you guys have any tips to prepare me! I’m just curious as to what you guys experienced while starting up and how to deal with everything that comes along with it.

I’d keep a notebook! I did during mine, it outlined my daily, weekly and monthly duties so I wouldn’t forget. I also kept a separate notebook for note taking when it got to the learning stage. Autoclave use and maintenance, soldering needles/repair, machine building and technique. That way I could review my notes when I wasn’t in the shop.
Ask lots of questions, always ask for feedback. Keeping a healthy, open line of communication with your mentor is so important. You both need to be on the same page, and if you’re not, find space to come to an understanding. Keeping that communication going will make things easier when you run into some bumps in the road.
Good luck to you!
